The Supreme was Pflueger's premium American level-wind casting reel for decades.
Decades-old oil gums up the gears and level wind, and a Supreme that turns stiffly usually needs cleaning rather than parts.

Supply is deep: about 48 Supremes listed, none for parts, and most ask $25–60 delivered. The model number matters more than the name. Common 511, 512 and No. 1573 reels sit around $35–40 here, while the narrow-spool 1577 tournament reel ($226 boxed) and the early 610B ($159, described smooth and fully functional) are collector buys. Boxes and papers add real money, as the $69 boxed 1573 shows. The red flag is a plain, undescribed Supreme at $371. Before buying any of them, ask how long the spool spins freely. Fishers should take the $35 clean reel; collectors, the boxed 1573.

$11.99 plus $8.50 shipping, $20.49 delivered on Buy It Now: the lowest fixed price on a complete Supreme and under the $25–60 band. The title names no model number and makes no condition claim, so assume it needs a clean and oil, and ask for the model stamp and a spool-spin check.
Vintage Pflueger Supreme level wind fishing reel made in USA
A Supreme 511 described as great, $37.73 delivered on Buy It Now from a 100% seller, in the lower half of the band with a condition claim behind it. Great isn't the same as tested, so ask whether the levelwind tracks across the full spool and the spool spins freely.
Pflueger Supreme 511 Vintage Casting Fishing Reel Made in USA - Great
Listed as clean, $34.87 delivered with Best Offer from a 100% seller, the cheapest Supreme here with a condition claim. A slow, smooth Supreme is a forgiving way to learn thumb control on a vintage baitcaster; confirm the handle turns smoothly and the levelwind tracks before paying.
Clean Vintage Pflueger Supreme Bait Casting Fishing Reel MADE IN USA
A Supreme 512 graded excellent by a 99.9% seller, $39.49 delivered with Best Offer. Excellent condition makes a wipe-down and fresh oil the likely job rather than a teardown. The $11.50 shipping is steep for a small reel, so build that into your offer.
Pflueger Supreme 512 Vintage Bait Casting Fishing Reel Made In USA, Excellent
A No. 1573 with its box, papers and the cub drag handle, $68.89 delivered with Best Offer from a 100% seller. That's a complete set for about $9 over the top of the band for a bare reel, and far below the boxed 1577 at $226.

See all current listings on eBay ⟶The Supreme was Pflueger's premium American level-wind casting reel for decades. Made in Akron, Ohio, by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company, it appeared in the 1920s, and the common 1573 was offered until the late 1960s.
The first Supremes already had an automatic free-spool and an adjustable anti-backlash control, features that made it a serious bass reel in its day. It is everywhere on the used market: our latest snapshot found about 48 listings, most at $25 to $60 delivered.
The 1573 with its marbled handle is the most common version. Boxed sets with papers, the narrow-spool 1577 tournament reel and early versions are where collectors pay up.
A few listings were priced far above the market, so compare before buying. The catalogue files it under the 1940s, the earliest decade it lists; the Supreme dates from the 1920s.
