Ambassadeur 5000

$57 delivered ($48 plus $9 shipping) with Best Offer open, from a 100% seller, is the lowest total on a complete 5000 and sits inside the typical $45–70 band. "Very clean" describes looks, and nothing says tested, so ask whether the drag holds and the level wind tracks before buying.

The only serviced 5000 in the snapshot, $69.10 delivered with Best Offer from a 99.9% reel-repair seller, still inside the typical $45–70 band. You pay about $12 more than the cheapest reel for work that's already done; ask what the service covered, and offer a little under ask since $14.10 of the total is shipping.

The only listing that says serviced, from a reel-repair seller at 99.9% feedback, so the anti-reverse and drag should already be cleaned and re-greased. $69.10 delivered sits at the top of the typical band and $14.10 of it is shipping, so an offer a few dollars under ask is reasonable.

Already serviced, so there's no teardown, grease or pawl check between you and the water. Ask the seller what the service covered (drag washers, anti-reverse pawl, cleaning) and whether it was test-cast afterward.

A 4-screw frame listed as 1962 with the serial shown is the configuration 5000 collectors look for, and $76.49 delivered is only about $6 over the top of the typical band. Ask for a sharp photo of the serial and foot to confirm the date before buying.

Sold as parts or repair at $47.95 delivered, a classic teardown candidate: the usual culprits are a worn anti-reverse pawl and hardened grease. But it's only about $9 less than the cheapest complete reel, so buy it only with an offer near $30 or if you specifically want a reel to learn on.
