Tested and working, with the original manual, about $28 delivered ($19.99 plus $8.27) from a 99.8% seller, Best Offer open. For a first conventional reel, a tested 65 at the bottom of the band is the least risky buy here, and the manual helps with the first cleaning.

New old stock at about $53 delivered ($40.99 plus $12 shipping) from a 100% seller. That's a modest premium over working user reels, and unused 65s are what collectors want. The title doesn't mention a box, so ask whether it comes boxed and for photos showing an unmarked spool.

NOS Vintage PENN Long Beach 65 Conventional Reel made in USA

Rustic but functional, about $27 delivered with Best Offer, from a 99% seller. The 65 is about as simple inside as a conventional reel gets, so this is a good first strip, clean and polish. You start with a working reel instead of a parts pile.
